Partnership visit to the University of Algarve in Portugal (UALG)
On 29.04-4.05.2022 the lecturer of the Faculty of Health Sciences - Marcin Dykta, MA, and the Head of International Cooperation Office - Anna Opałka, MA, carried out a partnership visit of the Erasmus+ Programme at the University of Algarve in Portugal.
The programme of the visit among others included:
Discussions revolved around the mobility of staff and students carried out to date and plans for the coming academic years, including support for Nysa students in their search for internship placements in Faro region.
Arrangements were made for the possibility of implementing Blended Intensive programmes within the new edition of the Erasmus+ Programme in Health Sciences and Physical Culture.
The staff was introduced to the teaching facilities of the university The School of Education and Communication of the University of Algarve and the School of Sports, the Higher School of Education and Communication (ESEC), which offers degrees and postgraduate and advanced training in education, communication and sports, with a strong focus on training and professional integration of its students, and participated in the University of Algarve Open Days with high school students. Mr Marcin Dykta, MA, carried out sports activities with the young people as part of the event on campus, and another highlight was also a visit to the aquatic sports centre where the sports students carry out their practical activities as part of their studies.
The FE Faculty of Science is located at - Campus Gambelas, while the Faculty of Sports Science is located at Campus la Penha.
In addition, the conference 'Internationalisation of Education and Training - Contributions of the Erasmus + Programme' took place on 4th May at the amphitheatre of the Pedagogical Complex, Penha Campus of UALG, with the participation of the Minister of Education, João Costa, the Secretary of State of Ensi In Superior, Pedro Teixeira and the Director of the Erasmus + EF National Agency, Ana Cristina Perdigão. The trip was an opportunity to strengthen partnerships and their development, including the implementation of apprenticeships by students.
