Agreement with Dongguan Polytechnic in China
On 14th od December 2018 Nysa JM Rektor dr inż. Przemysław Malinowski, Prof. PWSZ w Nysie signed the Agreement with Dongguan Polytechnic in China on behalf of the University of Applied Sciences in Nysa. Under the agreement the universities agreed to encourage the development
of the following programs and activities, based on their respective academic and educational needs:
Chinese delegation including: Zhu Yimin- Executive principal, Yang Naitong -Director of physical education department, Guo Gaoping - Deputy director of dean' office, Guo Chunlei -Deputy director of logistics had the opportunity to discuss the possible areas of cooperation as well as the initial schedule of some common programmes and projects in the nearest future. Guests had also the unique opportunity to participate in the Christmas concert of the Jazz Institute students organised once a year.
Dongguan Polytechnic, was set up in 2009, is the only public vocational college in Dongguan city. The University based on the local economic and social development since 2009, with the goal of condensed the "government, school, enterprise cooperation, learning, production and consumption of one "mode of running a school. Established the "service student growth, supports Dongguan manufacture" the school idea, has realized the rapid development.
In 2017, university ranked 166 in China and 13 in the province in terms of competitiveness of Chinese colleges and universities. The university is located in Songshan lake national high-tech industrial development zone, with a total campus area of 620,000 square meters, a building area of 339,500 square meters, and an experimental and training place of 89,000 square meters. The library has more than 830,000 paper books, 58 kinds of Chinese newspapers and 1,384 kinds of Chinese periodicals. It has more than 20 databases in both Chinese and foreign languages.
University provides education for approximately 10.000 students on the following fields of study among others: Management, Finance, Foreign languages- applied English, Computer Science, Engineering, Architecture, Sports.
Both universities operate on practical approach to education and cooperation with external stakeholders including industrial partners. That`s why there is a lot common goals to be achieved and both partner institution are looking forward to future cooperation.
