American and British Culture Day 2016 at UAS in Nysa - 6th edition
International Cooperation Office and Institute of Modern Languages of the University of Applied Sciences in Nysa organized the American and British Culture Day for schools for the sixth time.
The tradition of the American and British Culture Day are contests for children: artistic contest "The Culture and Art of English-Speaking Countries" for primary schools (classes I-III), linguistically artistic contest "Letter to Santa Claus"( classes IV - VI) and theatrical contest "The English-speaking Drama Forms" for middle secondary schools.
This year on 6th of December, for the 6th time we could admire the work and performances of talented young people. Moreover, during this contest we also had possibility of listening to choir of the Music Education students, or take part in the quiz about Great Britain and in the Christmas Karaoke, prepared by students from science club Active Minds (English Studies).
The main purpose of the initiative was to promote the culture of English-speaking countries among children and youths - students of local schools - and to encourage young people to learn and improve their English.
The winner was group from the Diocesan Middle School in Nysa, with their play An American Christmas Story.
