Graduate of Computer Science Institute of the University of Applied Sciences in Nysa participates in the mission Rosetta
Andrew Olchawa - Pole working in the European Space Agency, one of the co-responsible for the mission lander Philae, which few days ago settled on a comet 67PCzuriumow-Gierasimienko, is a graduate of the Institute of Computer Science at the University of Applied Sciences in Nysa.
Andrew Olchawa is assigned to interplanetary missions and "deep
space" such as Mars Express, Venus Express and Rosetta's.
He says: "Scientists believe that comets will provide knowledge about the chemical
and physical processes taking place at the beginning of the formation of the
solar system".
The team of six engineers including Andrew Olchawa is responsible for the management
and distribution of data to the scientists who will analyze them in detail later.
It was the first landing on a comet in history and great achievement important
for all world and especially for Andrew's Olchawa Alma Mater - University of
Applied Science in Nysa.
